We’ve all heard that the ADS-B deadline is looming closer. With the deadline set for midnight on December 31st 2019 it is estimated that only 22.2 percent of the General Aviation fleet has met the requirements of the mandate.
To put this into perspective a recent article in Aviation International News noted that the FAA estimates only 29.6 percent of turbo-props (3,591 of 12,149) and 17.5 percent of piston aircraft (35,791 of 204,191) are ADS-B equipped.
