Unequivocally, my favorite piece to write each year. Not only is it fun to reflect on another successful year and a well-executed plan, but it’s equally – if not more so – fun to talk about what’s coming. Without further ado……..
2025 was intended to be the year of portfolio and program management. And that’s exactly what it was. Here’s what we spent 2025 working on:
- We added aircraft to the fleet (and expect several additional light and mid-size aircraft to join the fleet in 2026).
- Achieved, as of the time of writing on November 24th, net new growth of just under 20% in our Jet Card program.
- Revamped and modernized our fractional program for release in 2026.
- Updated our empty leg offerings to a more competitive flat pricing model.
- Our maintenance team continues to kick some serious tail, completing more than 80% of all maintenance in-house.
I have to say, it somehow didn’t feel like that much throughout the year. But that’s part of what I enjoy so much about these “year in review” pieces. They’re forced perspective. A reminder to pause and (briefly) look behind, a reminder to appreciate a well put together plan and applaud execution of it, and – perhaps most importantly – an opportunity to look at what’s to come.
- For fractional owners, as costs have continued to rise, so too will management fees in 2026. There will be a 5% increase in 2026. You will see this increase in accordance with your Management Agreement (either January 1st or your next contract year beginning, depending on your specific language).
- Big changes are coming to our app (found here or here) in 2026 with more functionality for our Jet Card and Fractional clients. You’ll still get the booking and empty leg features you love with the added benefit of transaction history, trip history, and trip info being available. More will be announced about features and access in Q1 2026.
- All eyes on the Kansas City Metro. Well, my eyes on the KC Metro. Kansas City is a market I have been criminally underserving in the last couple of years, and I plan to change that in 2026. So, if you’re reading this and you’re in that geographic proximity,
- Aircraft. More of them. Perhaps the most simple intellectually, but the most challenging to execute. We more lights, and we want more mids, and we want good partners in the owners.
Last, but not least, Merry Christmas from your team at Silverhawk Aviation!
